NUMBER OF VACANCIES

On the rolls of these schools, there are approximately 8000 teachers. A large number of these are turned over every year for different reasons.

Note: The School / Management will announce the exact number of vacancies available at the respective school while advertising for teaching skills interviews/evaluation.

Vacancies may be ' regular ' or of a ' set term ' nature to be notified along with vacancies announcement. Regular appointments could be transferred.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The teacher selection will take place in three stages:-

1). Stage-I – Screening Exam

An' Online Screening Test' for vacancies that will occur during the following academic year will be performed on October 19 and 20, 2019. This is done online by an organization centrally recognized by HQ AWES to guarantee uniform teacher performance in all Army Public Schools. Those who qualify at this point will receive a lifetime valid Score Card provided the candidate picks up a teaching job within three years from the date of passing the screening exam at any CBSE affiliated school for a constant length of at least one year. A scorecard will allow candidates to appear for the remaining phases of the process of choice. The following may also appear for the screening test in relation to new candidates:-

  • Score Cardholders interested in improving their scores.
  • Those who want to upgrade themselves. For example. A candidate holding a TGT Score Card may now wish to receive a PGT card with extra qualification.

2). Stage-I – Interview

As mentioned in Note to paragraph 2 above, vacancies are to be announced by the corresponding colleges by multiple means such as local newspapers, the school website, the board of notices, etc. In reaction to these announcements, candidates would have to apply. The interviews may or may not take place at the school's place. They may be kept at local management's discretion

3). Stage 3: Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency

A written exam consisting of Essay & Comprehension of 15 marks will be conducted for language educators along with an assessment of teaching abilities. If they so wish, the selection committee may also hold computer skill exams.

Notes:

1. Stages 2 & 3 will take place in conjunction at HQ Command / School Management under the aegis of the Board of Directors.
2. Appointments shall be produced in accordance with Rules CBSE / AWES.

HQ AWES conducts the screening exam on behalf of the Regional Command Headquarters Boards of Directors. The Board of Directors / School Administration and Management Committee will select and appoint. Grievances in selection proceedings, if any, to the Chairman of the Regional Commands Board of Directors

The applicants should have passed the Online Screening Test to qualify for interview and assessment of teaching abilities. This was planned at multiple centers across the nation on 19 and 20 Oct 2019. Applicants ' overall guidelines are provided in the subsequent paragraphs.
